    Tax Returns
This year will be my first time filing taxes and I'm claiming my wife and daughter as dependents. I made about 6,000 last year becausei only worked for 3 months, not to mention we are both college students. I was wondering about how much I should expect to get back from taxes?

Your spouse is not your dependent of the tax return. You can file joint return and claim your daughter. You do not have any taxable income.
You will get back all the federal tax withheld and EIC.

You can go online to turbotax.com and work up a tax return. It gives you the amount you will get back. You don't have to efile it right away, you can save your return on their sight and return to finish it another day but you can put in an estimate of what you think until you get your w-2 and see what it says. It walks you through the return.

TaxAct offers the same service, probably for a cheaper price.
