Recently my wife set the VCR to tape a show in the wee hours of the morning and, well, you know how that kind of thing goes. Instead of the show she wanted, we ended up with a one-hour slice of one of the oddest animated movies I have ever seen. The wife would like to see this thing in its entirety and perhaps someone knows the title.

It has something to do with a young girl who has been turned into an old lady, perhaps a witch, but I am not sure. She is living in a tall structure that moves but can also become stationary and look like a normal building.

The young guy who owns this place turns into some kind of a bird and goes off to fight wars. Any ideas?

What channel was it recorded off?

I'm afraid I can't tell by looking at the section of the film I have. It was obviously not the channel we intended to tape from.

Howl's Moving Castle, maybe?

Yup, that's it! I checked the title on the Internet Movie Data Base, saw a trailer and my wife is going to order the thing. I would never have guessed the title as that thing certainly doesn't look like a castle, looks like something out of the old Beatle's animated film "Yellow Submarine." Thanks.
