    Father rights
If the father is paying child support does he have the right to see his child?

Hi smiles23; welcome to AMHD. A father has the right to see his child if he is not paying child support; it is two different things.

Well, depends on the situation. He has the right to request visitation through the court. He does not just have the right to insist he gets to see his child whenever he wants or on whatever terms he wants.

Child support is unrelated to visitation and is an obligation, not a right.

The Court will give him visitation if he is suitable for it.

It is his right if he can prove he is suitable.

Child visits and support are ordered though the courts. So you have a right to visit if the court order is in place. Paying or not paying does not change your right under a court order.
