    How much is deducted in taxes on a employees check

    It is based upon your hourly rate or monthly salary (if you are a salaried and not hourly employee), withholdings, and whether you have any pre-tax deductions: like 401k, medical & dental premiums, FSA deductions.

    Would any tax experts care to elaborate more?
