    Hot water Baseboard Heat noises
    Hi,
I have a hot water baseboard heating system and I hear a ridiculous amount of "dings" during the night. It's not the occasional "ding" but constant dings through out the night. I am thinking that there is too much air in the pipes, but not sure how to go about releasing it. How can I do this or am I better off having someone come in and taking a look? Thank you

Sounds like air in the pipes. On the ends of the baseboard heaters there should be bleeder valves to allow the air to escape. If you want to bleed the air fine but it is always easier to call for service. It is also possible your boiler has not been serviced in awhile so now is the time to have it looked over and adjustments made if necessary. Not only will a properly cleaned and adjusted boiler work better it will also save energy.
