    Tenant foreclosure eviction
Hello, My landlord lost his rental properties to foreclosure, and the commisioners sale has been set for three weeks. We have found another rental, but I was curious as to whether it is true that we MUST be out PRIOR to the sale (and if the notice posted on the door WAS our eviction notice) or whether we will be given notice directly, not via the sheriff's sale notice. This is a difficult time for us, as we lost OUR home in 2007 to the mortgage scandal. Thank you for any help you can give us, as time is a tickin'!

Does anyone have an answer to this? I'm in same boat almost as Sale is 8/12/2009. I'm in Virginia, will new owner have to provide a notice to move. And how much time will we have to move. I was renting but was a friend of the owner and didn't have to sign a rental agreement.
