    Yes, but it does not guarantee that conditions will be removed by the time you file I-751.

    Yep. But I think the questions you want to ask are:

    1) Are you going to live in it full time or use it as a summer home
    2) Do you want to deduct the mortgage payment from the income taxes you pay in the US
    3) Who gets the house if you die
    4) What are the tax implications in your home country
    5) If you should unfortunately get deported, who controls the house
    6) Can you find a lender to do the loan

    Talk to a tax attorney or immigration attorney or Certified Pulic Accountant for the details of what you are getting into.

    It shouldn't be a problem if you set it up correctly.
