How do I protect my Story Pitch?
I know the story from beginning to end, just haven't finished writing it. I have summed up the idea of the story and am definitely ready to pitch it (screen write). Can I protect my "idea" that is written by WGA or copyright without actually finishing a Screen write or book? I have been asked to pitch but absolutely do not want to give my story away. Please try to give professional answers. Thank you

    Hi, midwestmom!

I think that if you will read and study the information on the following site, that a lot of what you're wanting to know will be answered.

Are you planning a screenplay or a book? It's normal to ask for a confidentiality clause for a screenplay, but no-one will steal your idea for a book or even an article,
