I had an interview last week. Turns out it went fairly well because they started calling my references. However, I found out that they only called one of my references. Is this a good or bad sign?

If there is anyone employed by an HR office that can answer this question it would be most appreciated.

I call only the most recent or else the one in which the job duties were the closest. I don't go back and call more than that unless I hear something which concerns me, I'm still interested in the candidate and I'd like more info.
