OK my daughter is 2 yrs old I haven't heard from her father in over a year and a half. He is an alcoholic and isn't very stable. I have been with my current boyfriend since before she could even roll over. She calls my boyfriend daddy and that is who she knows. I was wondering if he would be able to adopt her if her biological father gave up rights.

Probably not since he is just your boyfriend. Some courts might allow this so check with a local family law lawyer, but generally the requirement for step parent adoption (which this falls under) is married for at least a year.
