I've been thinking about starting a truck company.. I've no idea where to start. I was just wondering if someone could tell me some initial steps to take to get underway. (ex; certain things to check into etc) It would be very much appreciated if somebody has done this before and could possibly reply to my request.

It would be very advisable that you have some stick time before you go out and open a trucking company. It is a very depressed market segment right now and you should have a strong customer base before you get involved. Also, keep in mind that compliance with federal and state regulations are absolutely a devastating affair, and only get worse as time goes by.
