OK, being a teenager sucks sometimes, but you only have another year to put up with it, then you have the rest of your life to do what you want... hang in there, I know it will seem like the longest year of your life... but just get it over with and be done with it, and then you will be fine... you can do whatever you want after that!. and from the looks of your spelling, I think you need to stay in school babe!. LOL... JK

I don't know about Texas law... but speaking from a parent point of view, you should just stick it out, you don't have much longer... I left home when I was 17 (I live in maryland). I can't say that I regret leaving... I had some pretty bad living situations at home... but I was a lucky one... I had a lot of older friends that helped me pay my bills while I finished high school...

There is only a few months left in school, a transfer may leave you without enough credits to graduate and other problems, esp mid year. YOur best bet, finish the year and then move with boyfriend

In Texas the age of majority is 18 - until that time your mother has total control and can keep you from leaving Texas to move anywhere else, including out of her house and into another house in Texas. If you leave anyway she can have you declared in need of supervision and report your boyfriend for custodial interference.

There is no law that you have to stay until you finish school, just until you are 18.

I'll leave the personal advice to someone else.

Why at 17 do you have a boyfriend that is so far away?

If you are going to be with this person for the rest of your life what is the difference between December and June?

You still have to make it to December with this person. You can't take back your childhood, do not be in such a hurry to leave your mothers house. You will wish to go back someday after you leave, most all of us do.

Legally, as soon as you turn 18 you can move out. However, trying to switch schools in the midst of your senior year will be very difficult. It may actually prolong your HS years. So you are better off waiting the few more months.
