    Falsifying payroll
I work in a non-profit company and I process payroll. Recently, I had to enter the employees time. The manager for our sites are responsible for signing the payroll voucher before I can actually do the payroll entry. One employee forgot to add one of his days for sick time so on his timesheet I put the date as sick with a question mark( I asked this employee about this day). Then on the voucher which was not approved by the manager for payment, I put 8 hours by sick time. Then the manager approved it and asked me if I wrote this sick time in and I replied yes. He hesitated a little and signed it and said make sure you ask the other manager if he had the time. So when I came to work that Monday, they told told me that I am being written up for falsifying an employees time. Is it falsying time if the manager approved it before it was transmitted for payment? Please let me know.

You are only as good as the information you are provided. You didn't falsify anything. You submitted approved time. Be sure to tell whomever is telling you this the whole situation.
