The lever is in the on position, and its making noise like its trying to make ice but its not. Does anyone have any ideas?

Is it a new refrigerator? Did you hook up the water line? Is the water on?

304jasonm- #1- check in the back end of the
Ice maker where the water comes in ,to see if there is a ice build up and water cannot come
In::#2 if there is no ice then in the back of the side xside , on the bottom where the water line is hooked up ,there is a water in let valve there and it probably is the problem, put a new one in and that will probably solve your problem:: take it off and take it to a appliance repairman and have him to check it out , once you install a elect.
