My computer speakers stop working after using them for several minutes. There is nothing wrong with the speakers because I can still use them for my mp3 player. There's just something wrong with the computer. I have also used other speakers but the same thing happens each time. How can I fix this probmem?:confused:

Try reinstalling your drivers. Or your drivers may not be compatible with your operating system

Could try to update the drivers, would tend to think it is your sound card as you have tried other speakers and same thing happens

Do you have to restart to get them to start working again or do you just have to wait awhile and they will work again

I have to restart the computer to get the speakers to work again, but it always stops. If I plug and unplug them several times they sometimes start working again. I'm not sure which drivers to reinstall there's a long list of them when I checked the audio properties.

I tried updating the sound card drivers but it didn't work. Should I download a new sound card?
