    Get out of lease early
    I am ln need of help,I am been threated for my life by my roommates,can I break my lease at my apartment.I have wrote several complaints to the manager and they haven't done anything

    Hello haney:

    Being threatened ISN'T cause to break your lease...

    You CAN get a restraining order against the person who is threatening you, and that'll make them stay away from YOU. It's almost the same thing.

    If you get a restraining order against someone you live with they WILL be forced to leave the property and will be required by law to continue to pay their portion of the expenses.

    If someone is threatening you call the police. There really is nothing the landloard/management can do. They are not the police, and if they are smart they won't act like they are.

    If you are unwilling to file a report then in the eyes of the management, and everyone else it didn't happen. Nothing is going to happen until then.
