    I did a quick search for Mary Todd and didn't find mention of a separation from Abe, but did find that some doctors and historians suspect that she may have suffered from schizophrenia. She had a sad life, and was outlived by only one of her four sons.:)

    Good point George. They did experience a broken engagement prior to marriage, which took its toll on Abe. I mistakenly thought that you referred to a separation after marriage. The Wikipedia source I used did not have much information about the early years.:)

    Hm... but Ann isn't confirmed as his love, they still debate this.

    I just did a 3,000 word research paper about his depression.

    And Let me tell you, I never want to hear about Depression or Lincoln for a long time haha but I must say Joshua Wolf Shenks book is amazing.
