Brand name of faucet? One handle or two knobs? How old? A model number would be nice. Back to you, Tom

There is one type of faucet that is a one handle faucet that is used by several manifactures, Kohler, Bradley, Cole, Valley and some others that if the hot water side get some debris in it it will let more cold water than hot come through. Parts are available and easy to change.
It is easy to spot this faucet because it has three screws that you can see under the handle when the handle is pulled into the on position.

If this is not the faucet it is still probably a stoppage in the hot water line near or in the faucet.

Give us more information and I am sure someone will be able to help you.
