    Is this below grade? In most above grade situations you need to install a sub floor to achieve a nailing surface since most oak flooring is tongue and groove and must be nailed. Tell us more about the flooring please.

    I'm not sure if your concrete is above grade but here is some good information for most all types of Flooring on any concrete and will greatly help keep the moisture out of the finish floor Also the other site is a hands on how to actually install it. A site below is installations recommend and what the National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association recommends
    Also check with your supplier on what is recommended and to keep that warranty for your NE floor.

    You may get more info about oak flooring and installation here: flooring san francisco. Surely there is need to nail the hardwoods down considering all other factors necessary for that.
