    Terribly itchy red rash
I have a terribly itchy red rash that moves around my mid body but mostly on my stomach. It started about 3 weeks ago, worsening gradually. The doc put me on prednisone for 8 days. It gradually stopped itching about the 3rd day. By the end of the treatment it stopped completely but there were still a few slightly reddish areas. Three days after ending the prenisone the rash and itching came back. For 2 days now the itching has been so intense and the doc suggested I try Zyrtec and benadryl. No relief yet. I cannot think of any new products or lotions that could be causing this.

If it's alergic then it could be anything from the laundry soap/fabric softener, to the air around you.

If it's biological in the sense that it's a virus, it could be herpes, or it could be an iregularity in your thyroid. Or other things. Try looking your symptoms up on line, and maybe pick up a book on things that pertain to your symptoms.

Sorry I could tell you more, but I really need more info. I'm just guessing it's a rash, but you never know.

Let me know if you have a little more info and I'll dig through my medical books to see if there is any helpful info there.
