Period-then brown discharge-then negative test.still something is wrong!
I've had my period... altho it was considerably shorter than usual. But for the next couple of days I've had brown discharge.. and I took a pregnancy test last night and I got a Big Fat Negative. Can anyone help me on this? I had sex about a week after my ovulation dates but there was a lot of sex and no protection.

If you had sex a week AFTER ovulation there should not be a concern for pregnancy as the egg is only viable for approx 24 hours after ovulation.

Brown discharge is common at the end of a period, it is just old blood.

HPTs should always be done using first morning urine as that is when the concentration of the pregnancy hormone, HCG, is at the highest levels.

Let me ask you this... my cycle is around 31-32 days long. My period came on the 4th of Dec. then the 5th of Jan. I had sex from the 25th of Dec until the 4th of Jan. Maybe I am calculating my days wrong. What do you think

It's really hard to say. We all ovulate at different times during the month.

Unfortunately you will have to wait until your next period.

If you are feeling bloated, it may be due to premenstruation... It is the 10th after all, and symptoms can occur two weeks prior to the period.
