We have water treatment equipment that used to flush themselves regular into our septic tank. A plumber got the bright idea to flush them into our sump/basement drain which leads outside & alongside the house. It is not buried. The pipe slopes down about 12 feet & empties onto the ground. The idea was to save stress on the septic tank. We woke up to a geyser last night coming up out of the sump pump in the equipment room as our water equipment was flushing. It appears the pipe from the sump has snapped. We can only assume that the drain pipe outside has fozen & is blocked. Have you a quick solution or should we call a plumber to redirect the flush water back in to our septic?
