I'm writing this to ask..

My 18 yr old brother has gotten his 16 yr old girl friend pregnant. Since her parents have found out they cut off all contact between my brother & his girl friend.
What he is asking me is...
Does he have the right to know the health of the baby?

Is the baby in any kind of danger?

What state are they in? The parents may consider him a sexual predator since she is underage.

No, he has no rights what so ever till the baby is born, then he will have to file for a DNA test to prove the child is his, and request visitation and other rights.

Also depending on where this is, in many US states, this would be rape, can not have sex with a 16 year old,

Does he have the legal right? no... there is no law supporting this.

Does he have the moral right? To me... yes. Even if it's just her parents contacting him every now and then to let him know it's OK.

It is his kid
