The economy is rough on everyone.But I can't seem to get my foot in the door to a career.Im a convicted felon but have finished my time and need to earn money to support my family.So I figure if I can't be hired, why not start my own small business.So my question is where can I find grant and employment help for a felon. To my knowledge, there aren't any grants that are specifically designed for people who've been convicted of a felony to start a business. Once a person has done their time and paid their debt to society, they're free to apply for loans just like anyone else.

It's also possible that you might not need that much money to start a small business anyway, depending on what it is.

What sort of education, skills and training have you already had? Also, what are some of the things that you've done to make a living in the past, please?
