What are you wanting the humidity to be?, are you sure your humidistat is accurate?

Is the humidifier installed on the supply air side or the return air side? Is it mounted near an air conditioning coil? If so, does it face the coil fins or the coil tube end?

It is working but just not doing its job... 6 in bypass is only 30 in or less and I pulled it off to feel the movement of air coming out of it and it did come out... fourced out as you know as the return also pulls it... my portable humitstat is working I'm sure... I put it over a pot of warm water... not hot... warm and it went right up to 33... 100.000 BTU furnace... installed just about the ac coils... fin side... 1500 sq foot house... maybe the humitifier just isn't big enough?
    Thank you... richard

Did the humidifier come with any literature stating application guidelines (i.e. square footage)?
