    Governmental spending spree!
Do we really need to spend billions more on bail outs and leave it to our children to pay for?

You could apply to burn things to counteract Global Cooling ;)

As for the bailouts, I'm all for sound investments by the government when the private sector can't step up or is unable to because of the credit freeze in the finanical markets. It's not many industries fault that the private sector screwed the pooch in failing over each other in pursuit of profit by taking more and more risk. Unfortunately, those responsible have made their millions and flown the coop. The systemic greed was about selling quantity not quality finanical products. It's like a salesman who won salesman of the year and then left the industry, only to have his customers come back the next year demanding refunds because their products all broke; sorry, all sales final.

So because of the stupidity of both political parties and an administration that does not believe in regulations by their very ideological nature, we the American people got screwed.

So yes, I believe in bailouts so that the innocent don't suffer; unfortunately that may include the banking industry so more innocents don't suffer.

But, in a free market system is it not up to the individual company to make or break it's existence. Who stepped up to the plate and bailed out the buggy whip manufacturers when everybody quit riding horses and bought cars? Or how about all the black smiths that lost their lively hoods when cars became popular? Who is bailing out the lumber producers? When does it stop? When government controls every aspect of our society? Who is going to pay for all this mess. Our children! In 30 years this country will be another third world enterprise that has no hope of a future and we will be looking to places like China and India for our welfare checks.

Somebody stole TRILLIONS of dollars from the economy, and it sure wasn't the middle class, or poor people. Who's left?

What would you suggest we do while we wait for them do get the money back?

Didn't the people vote on that a while back??
