I live in New Jersey and my Probation officer told me that the state of fl. Has a law that won't let me go on a trip out of the contry on ship if I fly in and go on a ship
So, what is your question? It is unlikely that Mexico would let a convicted felon enter their country either.
I am going on a cruise in feb. 28th -march 7th but I was told that I can't enter the state of Fl. They have some kind of law. If your on Probation you can't get on the ship should I wait into my Probation ends MAY PLEASE HELP
If you are on probation, there is likely some sort of rules about leaving the state that you live in.
Speak to your probation officer. There may be special provisions for vacations/trips.
Hello nick:
I thought your question looked familiar... So, you're going to Mexico?? The Caribbean?? Or are you just screwing with us?? It don't matter none. I'm going to answer anyway.
Your PO is BSing you. You can go to Florida if you have a travel permit. The ship people don't care that you're on probation. They'll let you on the ship, assuming you have a passport.
Mexico will let you in. I don't know about the countries in the Caribbean, but probably so.
The problem you're going to have is getting a travel permit from your PO to visit ALL those foreign countries... They're not going to give it to you, and if they have to LIE about the reasons, they WILL, and they apparently HAVE.

If you travel without your PO permission when he finds out, most likely your probation will not be ending, since it is likely to revolk your probation,
So is going back to jail worth a trip
