    Medical Biller/Coder
I am trying to find out what the credentials are to be accepted as a Medical Biller/Coder for employment in the Healthcare Industry without a college degree. There are two Job Training Schools offering different credentials. One is offering a Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) and a Certified Medical Administrative Asst (CMAA). The other school is offering the credential of Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Which is the better of the two. I have a work experience background of 10 years as an insurance vertification clerk and would like to advance. Thank you.

I did medical billing for 11 years with no degree. I ended up going to college and got a medical billing certificate. Then I advanced and got an associates degree in RHIT (Registered Health Information Technology) This covers medical billing, coding, legal, supervision, computers etc. Check it out!
