I'm in middle school, and I'm 14 years old. I like this boy, and I think he's so hot. I've liked him since 7th grade, and I'm now in 8th. He knew that I liked him in 7th grade and he didn't have much interest in me at all, but now in 8th grade he talks to me a little more. One day when I was in Science class he asked me for my phone number! He asked that out of nowhere. So, naturally I give him my cell phone number and he gives me his. At first he sends me lots of text messages, and until now, he only called me 2 times, and the rest of the stuff was like 26 text messages. On one of the calls he wanted me to ask him if I would go out with him, and I didn't answer, so he asked me instead, and my answer was I don't know. The he said "You're cute" and I said thanks, and he said he was joking! Does he mean it or not? I'm so confused! Someone please help me! I want to know if he has feelings for me or not, because I do! (Sorry this is so long) But I think he did flirt with me once by dropping his pencil on the floor and making me pick it up. He doesn't text me much anymore now, but I know that we're friends, and he does look at me a few times during the days in school. Luckily we're going to the same High school, so do you think he'll have the courage to ask me out somewhere around that time? We're also having a school dance at the end of my school year in 8th grade, do you think he might want to dance with me, if the teachers allow it? Please someone answer! I need help! To be honest I doubt he knows what he wants, in 8th grade you're mind is usually not on girls yet (maybe maybe not)

What you need to do is step back, outside the box and look at the situation, look at the actions taken by this boy. If you were someone else watching him act this way would you say he liked you or is he being himself.

If there is any thought in your mind that he does like you then talk to him, he probably doesn't talk to you anymore because he asked you out and you said "IDK" uh hello, mood killer!

You're in 8th grade, you have nothing to lose! Ask him.

The biggest thing to overcome when dealing with getting people to like you or notice you is your self-confidence. Don't become clumsy around him or fiddle faddle. Be confident in whatever it is that makes you YOU!

lol123em- My advice to you would be to analyze the situation. Though it never hurts to ask and to hope another pseron likes you, being smart about it usually gets rid of he hurt when rejected.
D you know or have reason to believe he's interested, I am not trying to be negative but if you are liking this guy and you get butterflies and you ask him and he doesn't even know your name that just hurts a persons emotions. You have to take a resposible approach to things like these, step back and analyze the situation, doeshe like you?Has he hinted toward it? If so then asking is the best way it's direct and shows independence.

OK I see that you have liked this boy for a while but if you are good friends with him the try not to be more than friends so you don't ruin your friendship but if he feels the samee way about you then I would say go right ahead :)

I agree with luckcharmed12 it all depends on how he feels or how you think he feels (how he actually feels and what you want him to feel are different LOL)

If he likes you and you like him then BINGO! But if he doesn't lke you and you think he does and you ask, that could lead to embarrassment, no more being his friend, ad hurting emotionally.

I just advise you analyze how he feels and make a judgement call based on what you discover!
