I have completed my F1 education+OPT+extension time in the US. I did purchase a flight ticket to return to my home country on Feb/2009 before my extension expires. Unfortunately, somebody stole my personal founds from an important bank in the US three days ago. I want to sue the bank for their negligence. The bank has not refunded the money yet. I am afraid that the whole process would take more time than only thirty days before my return.

I want to know that if I could wait a couple more weeks until seeing any development of my bank problem. So I could see my Immigration lawyer for appliying for an extension and tort the bank. Would be that a reasonable excuse for the immigration authorities for approving a B1 visa?
Please help!!

If you have solid evidence you may file... but the chance is quite slim because you have filed for extension previously.
