My nose has been pierced for 4 months now. At month 2 I got the usual "bump" that goes along with it. Only mine is not a tiny little nothing that is just going away with a few sea salt soaks. My bump is huge. Most days it contains blood and peels slightly. I clean it every day doing the usual sea salt soaks and some of the time it will shrink from that and almost disappear but then will reappear just as large 2 days later. Just this morning I woke up and it is now deep blue/purple (I'm guessing this is blood) I AM FED UP!

I have talked to a piercer and he told me the same old mumbo jumbo about the sea salt, he suggested that I lessen the amount of salt I use, that hasn't worked either

I do not care if I loose the piercing but I have been scared to take it out in the case that my nose will heal with this bump on it permanently.

Well I can tell you when I had my nose done I had an abnormally large bump too. It worried the heck out of me. When I took my nose ring out though and let it all heal, its been a while but the bump is COMPLETELY gone there is just a little indent left where it was pierced. It should go away. Though one thing is it might have become infected or a piece of dirt has worked its way in. that could be what it is also

Well I can tell you sea salts don't work, I was a body piercer for 8 years and so far the best way to care of a piercing is anti-bacterial soap. It will also take care of your problem, which is commonly known a keloiding or a keloid. They do go away but will take some care. Wash your nose 5 to 7 times a day with the anti-bacterial soap un-scented keep it clean and dry. It may also be the jewlery you have in it, you want to try and use implant grade surgical steel, do not use gold or other "cheap" metals the are mainly sold at retailers.

Oh, and do not remove it, that's one of the worst things you can do, then the infection will become trapped within the area after the holes close up.

That pretty much goes against all the advice I have ever heard Nightmare...
I'll take your word for it but from experience sea salt soaks are one of the best things you can use.
Years ago I was bitten by a White Tail Spider, for 5 years there was a lump on my leg... it often wept and was painful, I tried everything on it... one day I decided to try doing salt solution soaks... within a week it was gone.
Cleaning it that regularly also irritates the wound and makes it more inflamed... same principal as squeezing a pimple.
