I have been lied about and harassed by my sons father ever since the day he had been born. I recently went through a tragic thing with my ex and my current boyfriend. It was a attempted murder suicide. This guy has created a web site and page degrading and causing more problems for me. He speaks as if he knows me and he lies about who I am and is stating very bad things about me. I found out recently that he has been involved in a government investigation about his so called business. This alone has given him the traits to manufacter anything that is false to make it look real.The website even states: " so real it can fool your mother." He has also tried to turn each of the families against me. This has ruined the lives of the ex that passed away and my current boyfriend and his family. I have lost my business because of what he has said about me. And it is hard to move and find a job becauase of what he has posted this alone has created more problems for me and my kids. No one will help me and I am so scared he will ruin my life and no one will stop him.. Someone please help me...

I have printed and saved all cruel statements and emails from him to me. I have saved all comments made on website by him with his name shown. I have proof of government investigation.

Get a lawyer and they can get your sons father for slander

If what he is printing and publishing is "untrue" you can sue him for damages you can prove it has caused.

If the info is true, just things you would rather not be out, then you have little to go on.

Also if he is making threats, get a order of protection against him.

Here is something I have written about the law:

Briefly - Generally in law libel refers to permanent/written statements and slander refers to non-permanent/spoken statements. Defamation (of character) covers both categories.

You must be damaged - and prove damages - in order to recover. The statements (either written or spoken) must be false but presented as though they were true and be beyond offensive, derogatory or insulting. Such statement must rise to a level which actually harms a person’s reputation. In general the person making the statement must either know it isn’t true or make the statement without attempting to verify if it is true.

The defense to defamation is that the information was not presented as the truth (which covers gossip), that the information was never secret (privileged) and was always public.
