    Honda filter location
    Does a 2006 honda accord ex v6 w/ auto transmission have a transmission filter that has to be cleaned or replaced? Thanks. noboat

    The tranny filter is usually right in the tran fluid pan. Does the filtering as it pick up the fluid.

    I think its #7

    There is a filter but I don't think it's serviceable; not all trannys are.

    Not that one... being that its just a strainer. Its not likely to clog. Its just to remove the crap in the pan.

    But I just found this.. according to these people it's a trans filter.. but it's a pain to change

    There's just a screen, no filter. Only need to change the fluid--I recommend Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF, which meets Honda's ATF-Z1 requirements.
