I know a man who is 50 years old and has been working full time for a company since 1982. He is only getting paid £6.10 an hour.
He can not read or write but is this pay fair?

Hi, littlez4!
It would probably help those who come along to address your question to have some additional information from you in order to help you the best.
For instance, what kind of job is this concerning? How much do you think that he should be getting paid for the job and why? Does he have any monetary benefits that go beyond that which he's paid hourly that might not be evident unless someone knows about them?
Thanks!
Thank you for your feedback Clough,
He works in a supermarket, Sainsbury's and is receiving no monetary benefits. I would have thought that his pay should be a little more, for example £7 an hour as he has been working there for so long. I'm not too sure about any other details, I was just looking for any advise and help.

It may be fair he may be a margina worker, also he may not be able to do a lot of other duties, since he can not read or write, If he wanted to advance he should have over the last 25 years learned how to.
IN fact there are very few jobs he could ever do without knowing this,
