EMail Password stored-how to retrieve & protect
    Dear friend,
As we know that while logging in any email account like gmail or Yahoo, there is a feature which if ticked store the password once entered. And next time when the Gmail.com or yahoo.com are opened the Emails are automatically logged in.

Please suggest me where these EMail Id and Passwords are stored and how to protect them

    Thanks

As per my knowledge these passwords are stored in SAM files in the system. Its easy to retrieve the email password by using cracking tools provided you are installing the tool on the same system on which you have opened the email account..

Webmail userID's and passwords are stored in COOKIES and NOT in the SAM file as mentioned above.

The best way to protect information of this type would be either to use a password manager, or NEVER click the Remember Me options on these sites. That way you always have to enter your information each time you log in.
