    Pregnant or menopause?
I have had a tubal ligation after my son was born almost ten years ago, I am almost 39 years old and I normally have very predictable periods I usually start about seven days before I started the month before. Since oct 08 I have been having very light nearly just spotty periods nov08 the same very light almost nothing dec 08 nothing at all and nothing so far in jan 09. I have some pregnant. Symptoms: very tired, some nausea, tight abdomen, sore breasts. Could this be that I am pregnant or am I starting to have pre menopause??

This sounds more pregnant than menopause.

Have you taken a at home pregnancy test?

It is possible for women to get pregnant during pre-menopause

(sexual activity with male partner of preferred religious/cultural preference presumed... )

Either way... see your doctor and they will automatically do a pregnancy test in the office. If not pregnant, other hormone testing may be done to determine if you are starting perimenopause which is also a possibility. Unusual cycles is one of the more common signs of perimenopause and can go on for a number of years before actual menopause.
