    BLUE TOOTH not working
Hello everyone , I will get right to the problem. I have an Acer Aspire 5100,laptop with windows xp that used to display a blue light when I flick the little switch with the bluetooth icon next to it, but now it doesn't work anymore . I think the problem may have occurred after I had to used system restore to bring my laptop to life after downloading something weird that turned my entire screen red. Any way I did some reading in various forums and the general opinions seems to be that I am missing some sort of driver. I have tried going to Acer website but that was fruitless. Any Idea where I can find this missing driver IF that is the problem or maybe it something else. :confused:Thanks guys , any help would be appreciated .

Try going to Control Panel then search for hardware.
If you are running XP with service pack 2 (or Service Pack 3) it should find your BT card.
Make sure and load the windows bluetooth drivers they are much more reliable than the Widdcom or other drivers out there.
    Hope this helps

It might be a hardware problem. Best thing for you to do is just to send it in to Acer.

Go into your device manager and look up your BT card and right-click on properties and then click update driver.
