    Hand injury
    I had a accident last year I caught my right hand in a grinder at work I did not break any bones only crushed them in four fingers and needed skin graft which has taken very well but I have limited use of my right hand I cannot make a fist or grip anything pain not to bad but this cold weather makes it stiff,also when exercising my hand my bones in my fingers are clicking very loudly no pain with it but acheing quite a lot constantly please can you give me any advise, my doctors says it could be arthoritis.

    It could be arthritis, but it looks like you may have suffered ligament injury. For the time being, I suggest you massage it gently, and try to keep it as warm as possible. Take some aspirin to help with the pain.

    Try to go see a doc as soon as possible.

    These sort of injuries can take a very long time to heal. Arthritis is something that might develop.

    I had a bone-crunching injury to my right hand over a year ago, and the swelling between the joints still hasn't gone all the way down, although it's almost gone.

    I'm a professional pianist, so it's important that I keep my hands very limber. I could only play with four fingers of my right hand for a number of months. I find that soaking my hands in some hot water helps me a lot.
