I'm 5'4" and I'm 13 and I weigh 160 pounds and look awful. I tried a lot of diets and stuff... didnt work... it either took forever... or had bad side effects. I really want to lose weight, but just don't know how. Can you help me?

It's actually pretty easy. With 2 - 3 months, proper eating and exercise, you can easily lose about 10 lbs.
However, since you are 13, I have to say to not take this too extremely. When I was 14, I weighed about 170. I then hit my growth spurt, shot up about 4 inches and everything sort of evened out.
I suggest staying off the sodas, chips, cookies, chocolate, etc. and opting for more healthy snacks such as fruits and nuts.
Also, try to do some moderate exercising. Maybe go for a jog or a walk, or perhaps jump rope.
