What steps should be taken to receive a business license?
If some one is trying to start a small painting business, what steps should be taken to receive a business license?

First you should figure out if you need any sort of permits, licenses, etc.

Then, go to the county court and apply.

    Hi, T Verdin!

The above answer is correct. Depending on where you're located, the local city hall or government building would be places where you might apply for such a thing.

Are you sure that you need a license in order to paint? One of the things that I do for a living is that I'm a house painter, and in my location, I don't need a license to do that.

    Thanks!

You will need to ask your question on your own thread instead of on someone else's.

Please pick a category on the Home Page and then click "ASK," thank you.

Hi, thanks for responding. I am from Mississippi. I paint both commercial and residential. I am trying to figure out a way to avoid tax problems this year. I would like to pay my workers on the clock with tax deduction.
