About 24 hours ago, I started feeling a pretty intense pain on the inside of my right nostril. The pain eventually went away, however, today, the front and right side of my nose is bright red and it is very sensitive to the touch - the closer to the inside of the nostril, the worse the pain when I touch it. At first I thought it could be a big pimple but that doesn't seem to be the case. What else could it be? I have no history of allergies or sinus issues.

There could be a scratch inside which is causing an infection. There has to be some type of irritation, put a warm washcloth on it when you get a chance it migt help the redness go away and make it feel better.
