    Lab mix?
As some of you know I have a lab, she was supposivly a chocolate/black lab, someone came over from the humansociety and said we had a very nice ROTTI MIX!
She pointed out the things that the rotti would have, the musle tone, the boxy head etc.
She has dark brown "points" but we always thought this was from the chocolate lab in her. She is very friendly, but she can be aggressive if she is protecting something, since now she might be a rotti/chocolate lab, would she lock her jaw?
I know it is a little to late for this but...
Our neighbourhood is allowed no fighting dogs (pitbull, rotti, doberman etc.. ) Would she be a problem to this? You have to register your dogs when you come in and we registered her as a black/chocolate because that's what the breeder told us! (what a great breeder! The women from the humansociety said there is no way she is purebred lab(her mom is CKC registered chocolate and the dad was supposivly CKC registered black lab)
She is two so I'm probably going to get a lot of comments saying just do what your doing... but.. I just want to be more on the safe side:P

Do you have a picture of her?

Do you have proof of her breed? Can you contact the breeder to get proof?

It could be that she has some rotti in her, but looks alone can't always determine breed.

I have a border collie/lab mix, his father was 100% border collie, his mom was a lab/border collie mix, he looks nothing like a border collie, in fact, he looks like a purebred lab.

If you have a picture I'd love to see it, that would help.

In the meantime, unless they have proof that she has rotti in her I don't think you have to worry.

She is big for a lab, but, if she does have rotti in her it's a very small amount. She looks like a lab to me.

One thing you can do, that I've only heard of, is to have her genetically tested, these tests can determine her breed, or breeds.

She's beautiful, such a loving face. Whose shoe? ;)

My old dog Silver (a poodle) used to have to greet us with something in his mouth, he'd come up with the darndest things.

Let's just say that when guests came, you made sure to hide your bra and panties, unless you wanted everyone to see them in his mouth. ;)

My little beagle is doing the same thing, he has a thing for my daughters underwear, not good, have to break him of that habbit, next month. ;)
