Get work permit even if laws were violated
    HI
I am an international student on a F-1 Visas
And I violated the law by working off campus due to hardship situation ( a year after my arrival , my dad who is my sponsor filed for bankruptcy)
I had to pay for my classes and other expenses.
I just realized that I can apply for a work permit under hardship situation.
I am just not sure, since I already violated the law , if I will still be granted that permission. That is my question for you
    Thank you so much .

If you have record of using SSN to work while you're not allowed to work, do not apply for EAD, your visa may be terminated sooner than you thought. Besides, apply for EAD based on hardship is extremely difficult and I guarantee you it will be more difficult owing to US economic crisis.
