No Picture but sound on 42 inch olevia TV. Sound comes with DVD \TV but no picture.
The volume control and menu options can be seen on screen.
Please help.

Try a different Input on TV, Verify a good output. Try a video camera, video game, or other source.

Since (you say) there's no picture even with the TV's internal tuner, it sounds like there's a fault in the video processing circuits prior to the point where the menus are mixed in. A technician repair job I'd say.

An afterthought...

Have you checked that someone (a child perhaps) hasn't fiddled with the brightness or contrast (or other?) picture settings making the picture too dark to see?

The Tuner may be fine, A good signal is important, with no signal, the best tuner in the world won't show a picture.

Since he gets no picture from a DVD, which I assume is connected via an AV input, not the tuner (Sanask, you might confirm this), the antenna signal is irrelevant.

Check your picture settings, then take it to a technician if no improvement.
