    Harbor breeze fans
I have a harbor breeze fan w/a downlight. Separately installed remote. Worked fine until I used the reverse switch. Now the fan won't start and the light won't go on. Any suggestions

Check and be sure the reverse switch is firmly in the up or down position.

However, that shouldn't affect the light. Do you know that the fan is still getting power? Is the remote responding at all when you push it?

The reverse switch is totally up or down. I've asked other people about this and no one seems to have a good answer. You're right ,it should not effect the light. Maybe it's just a lemon

The fact that both the fan and the light aren't working implies that perhaps the fan is not getting power. Check to make sure there is power at the ceiling supply, and then try bypassing the remote kit.
