    Make a table and a graph and find the intercepts and then the slope using rise/run or
    (y2-y1)/(x2-x1).

    Your Algebra book should go into sufficient detail of how to solve this equation. But Rockerchick is right, you need to creat an X|Y table and place in your numbers for each variable. Solving the equation to get points, graph these points and solve for your m (slope) so on and so forth.

    That's too hard:

    It's mostly or in the proper form of y=mx+b;

    what is m? What is b

    Y intercept means when X=0; X intercept is when Y=0

    Watch how things come out in the wash.

    Just so you understand it. Do a small table and graph it.
    You can also graph using just the slope and the intercept as well.

    find the value of y so the line passing through the two points has given slope (o,y),(2,7);m=1/2

    Sequences
    State whether each sequence is arithmetic, geometric, or neither. If it is arithmetric or geometric,state the common ratio. Write the next three terms of the sequence

    Can you show me how and step by step how to work it out.

    1. 1,5,13,17...

    19. 3, 6 1/2 , 10, 13 1/2, 17...

    Thanks
