How do I find th a-coil so that I may clean it. And what do I use to clean it with. I was told this would help with the effiencency of my furnace.

I don't know where your furnaces or if your furnace is an up flow or down flow. But the A-coil should be Just above or just below the furnace or air handler if you have an electric system.

There is a cover that is attached to the coil housing with metal screws, you have to take this cover off. Even after you do this you may only see a coil, it looks like the radiator of a car. If this is all that you can see there is not much you can do in the way of cleaning. To do cleaning you would have to be able to see the bottom of the coil. Therefore to clean this coil you would have to pump the freon back into the condensing unit, turn off the A.C. valves and then disconnect the coil and take it you to clean it.

This is a job that you are not certified to do and probably do not have the equipment to do it with.

Are you having problems with your furnace, and ac? Has airflow slowed? Are you just trying to clean the a coil because someone suggested it to you? Plugged coil will lower efficiency, but usually you will see other problems in operation of furnace and ac first. IF furnace is fairly new, and filters have been changed regularly, then cleaning the coil may or may not help in efficiency.

If the air filter is cleaned regularly, there is usually no problems with the inside coil. The outside coil is usually the problem on the AC or Heat Pump.
