Hi, My Nana gave me a beautiful sewing desk. It is one that the sewing machine mounts into and folds up. She said that it is a Sears desk and is about 40 to 50 years old. Are the sewing machines made now universal enough to fit into this desk, or will I have to buy a specific make or model?

What are the dimensions of the area where a sewing machine would be put into this, please?

Also, would you be able to post an image of the desk here? We get quite a few questions about sewing machines, but in the time that I've been here, I've haven't encountered a question that was just about a desk that would be for a sewing machine.
