Roper SxS Refrigerator RS22BRXAL00 does not get cold. Does the thermostat need to be replaced? The strip between the freezer door and the refrigerator door gets very hot. Do you know what causes the strip to get hot?

If there is frost in the freezer comartment the defrost control system has a defective part. Usually under these circumstances the refrigerator section will get warm.
For all other repairs you will need a electric meter and have to know how to use it. The posting of the link to the parts diagrams are to tell you where the electrical components are located so you can find and test them.

If you are not capable of doing this you will need to call for ON Site Service so they can make the repair for you.

NOTE your refrigerator is actually a rebranded Whirlpool using the name Roper.

Sounds to me like your condenser fan motor has stopped running or the condenser is completely clogged. Maybe a little critter got stuck in the fan blade!
