Every woman is different but it is not uncommon for women to masturbate. This is a very private thing for most women.
Guilty... but very little.
I don't know why your wife would hide it from you. I think if people are dating or married they should be 100% open with each other. But that's me. Anyway. It is something that women don't like to talk about. Maybe if you really want to know if she does it just tell her its not a bad thing and your not going to think any less than her if she does.
My husband knows I do and the reason he doesn't know when is just bcos he'd hassle me to let him watch!
I do, but I know a lot of women who don't. I masterbate 3 to 4 times a week. But my best friend told me she never does and has never tried. It all has to do with how sexual the individual is. If your wife says she doesn't... sorry she doesn't.
Im aware that some do and some don't and I have no problems if she does or not as the case maybe , I have no hang ups about it and we do discuss things and I do love her to bits , I was just curious to know if woman do do it or its just another male fantasy .
Chrissy
No it was not to self stimulate , I asked mainly for woman to answer to see if it was as common as we males are led to believe !
I have talked to A LOT of women on this subject and I would say 70% of women do and the other 30% are dead set against it. That 30% would find a man a night if it was necessary to satisfy their sexual desires rather than touch themselves.
I would also add that in my experience less than half the women who masturbate have fantasies while masturbating. The other 50+% don't fantasize at all and it's purely a physical stimulation thing.
Most women go through periods of masturbating a lot and then can go for long periods not masturbating; unlike men who masturbate more frequently on a consistent basis over time.
Like sex, masturbation for women is tied to how they are feeling about themselves, unlike men.
--------------------
I also agree that the OP is seeking self gratification hoping to have women talk about masturbating themselves. I know, I was one of those men about 10 years ago... lol.
It could be she is embarrassed by it too . I know some people that even though they do it it would embarrase them if others knew. Me personally I'm quite comfortable with my sexuality and my sexual needs. My boyfriend isn't a big fan of oral stimulation or by hand in that area so I just help him along by doing it myself. Well as much of it as I can LOL
The Kinsey Report did a lot of research many years ago about American's sexuality, and then, Masters and Johnson did years of research, too.
I would recommend checking with this reference material for general answers about female masturbation.
I don't remember any of the stats.
Best wishes, :)
Previous partners have been all over the place on this one.
One girl, whose drive was lower than mine most of the time, would go weeks without, and then might hit a "spike" where she'd self stim a few times over a few days.
Another girl loved it as a common part of sex together... shed self stim and id keep her body guessing by adding other stimulations (neck, ears, chest, etc)...
Is it as common as men?
A researcher in the field once wrote something like "its like food... some people spend every night in the kitchen and love to cook... some people can skip lunch and never miss it"
The Kinsey report, many decades ago and one of the first major pieces of research in this area, reported women were about 2/3rd as likely to have masturbated... and that number was again reflected in a late 90's study. Among "frequent" self stimulators, men still usually reported a higher % than women.
But, as stated, different "strokes" for different folks... some will not, and some will, and some often.
Masters and Johnson's stuff does go right up to the 90s.
Some of it may be dated, but some of it is actually really great information.
The thing is, though--you're never EVER going to get an accurate count of what people do in their bedrooms.
People LIE about their sex lives, whether to make it better or worse than it actually is. The kind of people that would volunteer for a sex study aren't exactly the people who are conservative in the bedroom, either.
Well I believe the major difference between the 2 is one (Kinsey) was ground breaking and inventing in the field but since it was never done. Impossible to be most accurate
The masters and johnsons report is more accurate but the Kinsey's recent research is accurate
So I slightly disagree there synnen but not enough to give a mark
Also granted to a point, nothing is perfect
Yes evry women does
